NW Blizzard 2011

As I sat in the hot tub tonight, watching the snow collect on the branches of our many trees, something occurred to me. We are all just branches...sometimes the extra weight of the snow causes us to collapse all together, sheer us off, and take those below us with it. Other times, a breath of fresh air shakes us clean, dusts us off, removes all the excess weight and we are free to sway in the wind again. The only bad thing is, you never know which category your branch is in until something drastic happens. Thank goodness so far I have had lots of fresh air to keep my branches mostly in tact.
